Please tell us a little about yourself:
I run a company called POMA with my co-founders, a research company based in Denmark, where I oversee all agricultural research and advisory operations at our own dedicated climate-controlled research facility and partner farms. With a background in agronomy and pomology, coupled with a obsessive passion for coffee roasting and brewing, I've naturally gravitated to this role in coffee agriculture, focusing on research and advisory efforts in coffee cultivation to help coffee growers improve productivity and quality in the face of a changing climate.
I've now been competing for 7 years with this being my third time at the World Brewers Cup (2022, 2024 and 2026). In the past, I also competed in the World Coffee Roasting Championship (2019) and World Cup Tasters (2018). Being at the Worlds, in any competiton really, is just a fantastic place to be. Getting inspired and learn from all the best in the industry, so I'm really really looking forward to going again!
What are you excited to do while you visit Brussels?
Being my first time in Brussels, I look forward to exploring the culture and history of the city - all while drinking great coffee from the local shops and roasteries as well, of course!
What are your interests outside of coffee?
Horticulture in general - especially apple and pear growing!
Is there anyone you would like to thank or recognize, or who helped you to prepare for the WCC?
I would like to thank the entire POMA family for the support, feedback and help. Without this incredible team nothing leading up to this would be possible - and I'm so grateful to have them all participating and helping. Massive team effort.
